The Department of Defense recently announced a new “slash sheet” designation, /113, and the VIVISUN LR3 is currently working toward that qualification.
“We are pleased with the opportunity to begin testing for qualification,” said Loren Jensen, president and COO. “Obtaining a ‘slash sheet’ designation is the first step in a new QPL listing and we are making excellent progress.”
The VIVISUN LR3 is a 1-inch-by-1.2-inch, rectangular LED switch that supports increased character capacity and improved readability. It is designed and tested in accordance with MIL-PRF-22885/113, but it is in qualification testing and not yet listed on the QPL.

The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) recently selected Aerospace Optics, Inc. as an Associate Member of the Year nominee. Aerospace Optics was honored alongside five other companies for its continued service to and support of the aviation electronics industry and for its active involvement with the AEA.
“AEA members are professionals of the highest caliber. Our involvement with AEA has allowed us to develop meaningful relationships with colleagues and customers and keeps us up-to-date on the latest educational and regulatory information,” said Loren Jensen, president and COO. “It is truly an honor to be nominated by the association and our fellow AEA members.”
Nominees were recognized during the AEA International Convention & Trade Show in Washington, D.C. April 23-26.
