Aerospace Optics, Inc. is located in Fort Worth, Texas, on a 15-acre campus. Having all aspects of the company’s operations, including sales, manufacturing, quality, product development and engineering in one single location is a definite contributor to the company’s ability to achieve its strategic goals. The company’s primary strategic goal is to be the world’s leading supplier for high quality lighted pushbutton switches with maximum product value and absolute customer satisfaction.
One of the major elements in the company realizing this goal has been an aggressive new product development initiative. The Aerospace Optics product development process applies a formal Phased Development Process assuring products reach the market with in-house verification testing completed and the formal process for MIL-PRF and DO-160 conformance plans already in place.
The company has also made the decision to establish and invest in the necessary internal capabilities to meet this strategic goal. The Product Development department has made a significant investment in building a technically qualified team of engineers and technicians to model, develop and produce state-of-the-art prototypes and products.
In addition to staffing, the company has also made significant investment in facilities and equipment. The Aerospace Optics campus includes state-of-the-art equipment with the ability to conduct most high-level qualification testing in-house, including:

The Aerospace Optics Quality Control department is driven to achieve 100% perfect quality and has worldwide recognition for excellent high quality products. The system is AS9100 registered and utilizes many advanced processes and equipment. We have an aggressive inspection of material at all levels, including incoming raw materials, internal sub-assemblies, and final customer-bound products. Every switch is functionally tested before it leaves our plant. Current processes include a combination of automated and manual procedures and test equipment to complete 95% of the MIL-PRF-22885 requalification program. The requalification program is completed every 3 years.
